For articles submitted in 2024 and 2025, Clean Oceans has waivers available to offer that can be requested upon submission and allocated on acceptance. Once the standard peer review process has been completed and the Editors have made a decision to accept the article, authors without funding available won’t need to pay an APC. Aims and scope
Clean Oceans publishes peer-reviewed open access research relevant to areas of marine pollution including novel approaches to the monitoring, control, removal, and prevention of waste; policy regulation and relevant frameworks; ecological impacts on climate and developments in implications for ocean acidification and conservation.
The journal aims to offer a platform that will support and accelerate progress towards preventing and reducing marine pollution. Clean Oceans offers a uniquely interdisciplinary approach to understanding the impacts of chemical, biological, and physical pollutants on Earth’s oceans in pursuit of sustainable and responsible conservation.
